The MUPGRET program was established to involve high school teachers in plant genomics research, to teach principles and techniques they can take back to their classrooms, to create a network of University faculty and high school teachers that will bring excitement of plant genomics and scientific discovery to high school students, and to create a network to recruit future high school students to conduct research in university laboratories.
